In 2017 I boarded a plane to Dallas from Denver, a place I had never been.
I was headed to a hotel/conference center that seemed to eb in the middle of nowhere. And I didn’t know a single soul.
I was a little nervous, a little excited, and completely unsure of what I was getting myself in to.
But something strange happened.
On the first day, Russel Brunson, a then 36 year old marketer from Boise, Idaho, started presenitng concepts from his new book, Expert Secrets.
And it was like i was seeing behind the matrix.
Like marketing made sense for the very FIRST TIME.
Not in a boring kinda way, or techie kind of way.
But in the simplest form possible. He had boiled it down to it’s essence, so easy a kid could understand it.
Seriously, he used stick figure drawings on stage to completely blow my mind.
This stuff wasn’t complicated, it’s just been kept secret over the years.
From that day forward, it is not an exaggeration to say that my life was never the same. I started implementing what I learned at that conference in 2017.
I worked on a new webinar 5 days in a row, staying up till 2am to finish it on the last day.
And the very next day, using what I had learned at that conference, I made my first AUTOMATED sales...
And got two customers for 2k each.
It wouldn’t have been a big deal if it was clients, which I had done many times before.
But with a client you have to deliver the work afterwards. With a customer you deliver a product. Two very different things.
A product didn’t take my time. I felt like I had finally made it, finally figured out how to separate time from money.
And finally learned how to be a good marketer. But the journey never ends.
And that’s why i’m writing this to you, sitting outside on a porch in Orlando, waiting for 5,000 people to get their lunch so the lines die down before I can find something to eat.
Because I’m here again.
I got on the plane. I’m missing out on sleep.
And i’m hungry at lunch time because the lines are too long.
All to learn from Russel Brunson and the other amazing speakers.
And you know what? It’s been worth it already.
